A1GP -- Gone but not forgotten!

It was a year ago that we started this A10 version of GPGrid following the launch of A10ws.com - the new series, based along the same lines of A1GP [A1 Grand Prix], was due to have its official launch at the 2011 Autosport International Racing Car Show. Unfortunately this didn't happen for various reasons.

Since then things have bounced up and down with confusing reports coming our way - although we believe that there is still the will to bring it to life.

However, we have to live in the real world and we all know that the whole world is in financial turmoil - nobody wants to take a risk funding an International World Racing Series with hundreds of millions of dollars - but circumstances can change so it may still happen.

Just to show the state of play in motorsport these days -- The World Rally Championship promoter North One Sports has been unable to give financial assurances to the FiA for the coming season, and the future, so "the FIA served notice to terminate its contract with North One Sport".
